My path in the last year has lead me to many new
places, and each experience has helped me to cross a few items off the
big list of "Life Lessons". Things I learned in...
San Francisco
- flying all night and spending the early morning hours in an airport
doesn't do good things for your day;
- buy a map of the place you're going to before you leave home;
- you will need your umbrella in the spring in San Francisco;
- travelling on your own is the best therapy around.
Cape Breton
- stop driving when you're tired;
- there really isn't anything to do in Cape Breton on a Friday night
except drive around the block a bazillion times or get drunk in the bush;
- always wear SPF 30 sunblock;
- drive fast sometimes;
- don't beat Amos at cards too many times in a row.
Boston
- don't burn bridges;
- always be friendly and don't be afraid to talk to strangers;
- there's only one Mind.
Algonquin Provincial Park
- love happens when you least expect it.
Montréal
- bubble baths are good for the soul.
Panama City (Florida)
- vacations aren't always restful.
